Huddersfield Town in PR Stunt for new kit

Huddersfield Town shocked fans and onlookers with a new kit which was overly sponsored with the Paddy Power logo in a 'river plate' design as they took on Rochdale in a pre-season friendly. However, the club and Paddy Power themselves have now confirmed it was a PR stint backing a move towards unbranded kits. The authentic strip for the 19/20 season is, as expected, the traditional blue & white striped design but with no sponsor going forward. In a further development, with FA rules stating sponsors must not occupy more than a 200 square cm area, Huddersfield could find themselves fined or other action taken for breaching "Kit & Advertising regulations for all club matchday kits".

Daniel Candeias on way out of Ibrox?

Many of the names that Pedro Caixinha brought to Rangers have either departed or gone out on loan, but one standout has been Daniel Candeias, and now it appears that the versatile winger may be on his way out of Ibrox. Steven Gerrard met the Rangers #21 and has made it clear that he would like to proceed discussions with Turkish club Genclerbirligi. With Ranger's being midfield-heavy going into the new season, it appears that Candeias might not be the automatic choice and the 31 year old star was looking for guaranteed starts. Gerarrd stated: "I had a conversation on Wednesday with Daniel and he said he wanted to go and speak to a team in Turkey. We've had an approach and we had a real adult conversation"
